I cannot afford a new system by myself, I would ask anyone if you can donate 25.00 each, it will only take 10 Avatars to hel me buy a new system..I am disabled and on a fixed income..i am no longer able to sign into SoTa..
and am very unhay as i was since March of 2014.

Post your PC specs - maybe I can you help identify some parts and pieces to upgrade that will enhance your experience here. With key components you can upgrade over time and achieve a very desirable outcome.

You're probably going to want to go with a new rig. I did a quick search on the A6 5200 and it doesn't look like the sort of processor that would be attached to something that's meant for expansion.

I'm trying to find if there's a minimum spec for SotA - that would be a good baseline to reference if you're looking for a PC specifically to run this game.... check this out:

    https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/?page_id=19#faq_031

What are the System Requirements for Shroud of the Avatar?

    Windows
    Minimum:

    • OS: Windows 7 64 bit or newer
    • Processor: Intel Core 2 DUO 2.4 GHz / AMD Athlon X2 2.7 GHz
    • Memory: 6 GB RAM
    • Graphics: DirectX10 Compatible ATI Radeon HD 3870 / NVIDIA 8800 GT / Intel HD 3000 Integrated Graphics
    • DirectX: Version 10
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection (Not required for Offline Mode)
    • Hard Drive: 6 GB available space
    Recommended:

    • Processor: Quad Core Processor 2.4GHz or faster
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: DirectX10 Compatible AMD Radeon HD 6850 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550

Looks like the PC you picked out will satisfy the minimum required computer specifications. :D

The on board Intel graphics might be the only issue.

I'd recommend something like a 700 series Geforce card... those can be had for around $120. They're good cards and provide adequate horsepower.

Yeah, that system is on the low end, but perhaps you can expand the memory and add a better GPU later. Also, you can try GoFundMe.

I'd make a post in the player marketplace as that is probably the most relevant area. See if people will donate funds and/or parts. As many people upgrade computer components themselves, they end up with old components they may not need.

I'm considering replacing my GTX 970 with the 1070 for example. The 970 is a great card but the 1070 is better and reasonably priced as far as I'm concerned. If I buy a 1070, I was considering selling my 970 to offset the upgrade price. But I might consider donating the card to someone in need like yourself.

What do you have now in your current computer? Do you you have a case, power supply, hard drive, optical drive you can re-use?

AMD is about to drop a major upgrade to their APU line. APUs are budget CPUs with built in graphics, but they're good performance for the buck. They beat onboard Intel graphics.

    http://www.ecumenicalnews.com/artic...rt-bristol-ridge-a12-9800-processor/45598.htm

If you are looking to get a budget system, you may want to wait a little bit for the new AMD APU line to come out.

I would say the marketplace is not an appropriate area because nothing is being purchased or sold.

    Good luck!

I've donated to the GoFundMe and I challenge the rest of our community to do the same!

Edit: BTW, if you self build on NewEgg, you will need to provide an OS. But if you have a valid Windows 7 or 8 license, you can use that and claim a free upgrade to Windows 10.

Or you can install Linux, which SotA does run on it.

If you buy a pre-built computer, it will come with the OS, but you're unlikely to find a gaming PC with a decent graphics card for under $400.

Thanks @Nubelite! I put my donation in and blasted this as many places as I could think. Already up to 1/3 of the goal!
