Unable to use portal in Isle of Storms to enter Battle of Highvale

After creating my character in the mirror, I went to the Moongate and the game crashed instead of loading me into Battle of Highvale. I tried 3 times and it happened every time. The fourth attempt to play I selected start on world map, ended up spawning in an area near Artifice.

@Berek Will I be able to start the main story line if I eventually find my way to the Battle of Highvale scene? Right now I have no starting gold, or weapon, or experience. . I should have the Benefactor PoleArm in my bank when I claim my rewards, but it feels like I'm going to be slightly disadvantaged now.

 

Yes, entering that scene for the first time should keep you flagged for the tutorial. Additionally, you could try to remake your character and attempt to brute force into the scene without starting from Novia.

Also having this issue, crashed when I looked into mirror, restarted, got customisation done, then crashed as I went through portal, try no.6 incomming now....

Still having this issue, have tried 10x. Battle of Highvale is just not happening!!!

 

We have a potential fix being implemented in patch 450, if you all could verify at that time. Additionally, as a potential thought, if any of you are playing on Steam Fullscreen, try switching to windowed mode and let me know if this might resolve it for you. Thank you for reporting.

 

I am on Steam - tried it full screen, windowed, and then both ways in Single Player Online as well. ETA on patch 450?

 

Unfortunately, still no help on build 450. I tried a few times, then deleted and recreated my character. Still no dice. I tried Multiplayer online, Friends only, and single player, both windowed and non windowed, even tried bypassing Steam and launching via the executable and logging in with my non-steam credentials. All no help.

FINALLY, I got bored and decided to verify my files in Steam. That did it for me...so there were 2 files (I'm sorry, it did not tell me which two!!!) that it said had to be reaquired, but I'm the Battle of Highvale now.

We recognized the problem, and verified that it would not yet be fixed for patch 450 yet. We are still throwing dats at its resolution. Thank you for reporting.
