Character Creation, Hair Style "Short" is "Ponytail"

When creating a female avatar in R32, the hairstyle "Short" is visible only briefly, for the first character you create, only once. If you select any other hairstyle, "Short" is gone forever. Thereafter, the "Short" hairstyle is replaced by the "Ponytail" hairstyle, and cannot be selected. Visually, both "Short" and "Ponytail" are now "Ponytail".

This bug persists through a complete computer reboot, as well as a character deletion / re-creation. As such, either it is server side, or as a result of a corrupted registry setting, likely.

The really bad part of this bug is that as it affects character appearance, if I want to create my character today, and I want the Short hairstyle, I can look forward to paying $5 to fix this appearance bug in the future. All bad.

 

Could you leave mirror scene with short har decision?

 

Yes, but it shows the ponytail model once out of the mirror scene.
Also, the bug is persistent across new character creation, with different accounts.

If you know you want short, I would choose it hoping that once the bug is fixed, your avatar would have a miraculously changed appearance. I don't think the devs will charge people for fixing a bug in any case

I wonder if Port will not issue a free character visual customization token closer to release as most of the hairstyles are not in their final states.
I feel they ought to.
On that end, one could argue that it really could be free to change however much you want up until release, we are still in testing after all.

i have this issue aswell,is there no way of getting my hairstyle changed before a major update in the future? i picked the short hair and got ponytail like everyone else here?

 

I think that would be a great idea for the future when they have a barbershop setup or something like that! ^_^
