Since the patch happening right now is going to be well over an hour to download, I have time to annoy you all, bwahaha.

There's been a lot of us being picky about the game (as we should, it helps craft feedback for the Devs and a much better experience for us in the end). But let's talk good things!

What's a few things that stand out already in SotA to you?

For me my shortlist would be:

    1. Housing, the options we have already and the endless decoration space is something that will keep me busy until the end of time.
    2. Classes without classes. Yes the skill system is terribly confusing, but once you start to get the hand of hybrid builds, you can tailor your play style to what fits you. It might not be the best min/max there is, but it is what will give you the most enjoyment.
    3. Filters, yup filters. The fact every gump has a filter option is amazing. I know that seems like a small thing, but it's not to me. Since this game leans more sandbox, we gather a ton of items. Sorting those items is always the biggest challenge. Yet with being able to search and filter items in a chest, you can just start dumping things in there yet find what you want very easily.

I'll leave it to those three for right now, they stood out first in my mind, so I rolled with it.

1 hours?! Wow my friend, upgrade that internet. :D

The way the questing system is implemented. I like that I have to find the quests by talking to everyone and using key words. That is my favorite part of SoTA at the moment.

I keep the game open, so I don't need to update as often ;) Otherwise I'd have to wait to play every night when I go to log in.

Shame the updater is way slower than Steam. I do not use Steam if I caan avoid it. And shame half of the patches crash the launcher and the whole game needs to be downloaded from scratch.

I don't use the stand alone client anymore basically the p2p wasn't my favorite thing. Steam has its perks, one being a nice backbone.

I might have to try steam, because the latest update broke the game. It will no longer launch. =/

I swapped to steam too (didnt want it but I had too) because the launcher itself was very slow, steam always downloads full speed and it done in a few mins.

I use Steam because I am eternally optimistic that my all my Steam friends will see me playing SOTA and decide to join me.

It works the opposite for me, I see my friends who stream start popping into a game, so I'd leave shroud and join them =/

Good God, you were so right. Just fired up steam, downloaded the entire game in less than ten minutes, now I can log in and play. When my non-steam launcher is broken o_O

Last time that happened to me I had to uninstall the game and download it from scratch:/ The launcher really could use some love.

1)old school keyword questing and not knowing where to go (bumping into quest characters by accident) :)
2)scenes ..they all have their charm
3)vendors from people.. abit of a surprise what to see on them!

i really like the combat system, its something entirely different from what ive seen in the past. and while i had my doubts, i really enjoy playing it. just feels very organic and you can completely tailor it to your playstyle.
