Corpse Explosion does no damage

3. Details: the animation for Corpse Explosion goes of but it does no damage at all.
4. Steps to Reproduce: have bunch of dead mobs, use CE.. cry salty tears

Corpse Explosion not working is a huge deal to us necromancers

Which creatures are you trying to use it on?

 

Humanoids & wolves

Fighters and Ruffians.. and I just now tried on 3 timber wolves corpes with an Elder wolf taking 0 dmg

 

I have the same issue. Ive been using corpse expl often so I know how to use it. It does zero damage every time. I notice something weird, in my skill tree spell description for Corpse Expl, it says "0 death damage" and right below that it says "14-39 death damage"

 

Same issue @Attenwood, was buggy before in Deep w/the wolves but has always worked on spiders. Works on neither now.

 

I wonder if it relates to the elevation of the floor where it couldn't target corpses in the bumpy grassy area. Deep Ravenswood wolves didn't work for me at all, though. I tried to pull them to the dirt road, still no explosion.

 

Thats what the issue was before I think. The wolves didnt even blow up, like it wasnt hitting them if the elevation was different.
Now its blowing up bodies, but doing no damage.

 

We have a potential fix for this that would be going into Patch 1. If this issue still occurs after patch 1, please respond with further detail on specifically which enemy types this is being observed on, and whether the explosion isn't triggering at all, or if it just isn't doing damage.

I was having it do this in bandits, alligators; so far that is all I have fought.

The spell is triggering but no damage, also the "targeting circle" looks different, not sure if that is significant.

 

Submitting a ticket tied to the 0 damage aspect of the report. Thank you.

The skill triggers on any corpse but does no damage. Tried on Kobolds, Elementals and Wolves.

 

to clarify it isn't that it does 0 damage.. it does not even register as a "hit"

 

It's doing zero damage for me as well.

 

I have the same issue, on wolfs humanoids etc etc, in Southern Longfall road! Makes my necro utterly useless 8(

 

i am experiencing the same issue. targetting chicken, wolves, bandits, spiders. No hits being registered.

@Attenwood, I tested in Deep again too. Not working. For me its blowing up bodies, but no DMG.

 

Known issue. Will work on a resolution for this ASAP. No more reports necessary until we apply changes for potential fixes. Thank you all for the information.

 

Was really hoping the last patch fixed this.
