NPC Merchant Buying Prices Going Back Up Tomorrow

next patch i think. still getting same prices here so just assuming.

 

It will be effective tomorrow. (I know I can't wait either)

 

Tried selling a heavy war hammer (175g) at owls head blacksmith but he would only buy it for 31g... also certain craftable items are still selling low !

 

The patch hasn't come out yet. That's tomorrow. Also, remember the 175g value is for the item at full durability. Most looted items are at a fraction of full durability and will net less gold.

 

And even with the patch tomorrow, the vendor still operate off supply and demand. Owl's Head is the worst town in the game for vendor prices.

 

Ahh yes. I thought it might've been today's patch because Darkstarr posted it at 10:30pm yesterday. Will do more testing tomorrow!

 

NPCs in different towns have different prices. I've seen Vendors for both 10k and 20k in different towns.

 

Given the fact that DS's post was last night.. AND, there was a patch today... it kinda stands to reason that many would assume it was now fixed. Bering in mind of course the mechanic being broken was something done by the devs. When one considers that the initial pet issues were rapidly addressed (still sux but at least my Obs wolfie had 254HP instead of 104) as it was recognized there was a mistake it makes this stand out all the more. The low vendor pricing was intentional and.. (for whatever reason)allowed to remain. No small wonder that many have mused the entire thing is part of an experiment to see how much pressure would be tolerated...I know it would be interesting to see what the before and after difference was in trading of COTO's... both in new purchases as well as trading. Appearances matter.

Edit: there will be those who say.. DOH dude... you could read it in the patch notes and, they'd be correct. Then again...some people seem to play the forums more than he game itself... or to put it another way...if one were to read every tidbit of written material that gets cranked out there would be no time for actual gaming..!

 

For me it shows his post was today. I'm in the same time zone, so I don't know. We'll know for sure tomorrow.

I usually read the Release Notes while patching.

 

This announcement is great evidence of a development team that pays close attention to player metrics and adjusts the economy accordingly. I feel like we're in safe hands

Good life's been hard for newcomers

 

Forum timestamps use your local time if you have your timezone selected. He made the announcement just before 5pm on Aug 29th (Austin Local time). So, as of right now, we can probably expect the patch some time in the next 12 hours.

 

I checked this today they are ALL the same now

 

Boooo don't raise prices, lower them more!

 

It has not yet been patched,
Its 630 am Austin time, the dev's haven't even had coffee yet.
Game is still on 474

The american phraze "we will get it done tomorrow" does not mean it will be done at 12:01am, it means by close of business the following day. They haven't even gotten started on their day.

Once its a patch past 474, then we should see something.
