NPC Merchant Buying Prices Going Back Up Tomorrow

    I notice that too. Owl's Head used to sell house and basement for half the price.

    That is the intent for the online mode. Offline mode will have different prices.

    In particular for me, the blacksmith in Central Brittany and alchemist in Kingsport.

    The price is adjusted based on how damaged the item is. Most mob loot has less than 20 durability.

    Then start a thread in the bug forums.

    Is the Central Brittany banker still selling tickets for 10K/5K?

    It's interesting that you say this because I tested the Alchemist in Kingsport vs. the Blacksmith in Owl's Head and found that the Blacksmith was far better in R32. Now they are both equally bad. :)

    Did you test with random weapons, which have their value vary with damage (that number like 9/22) or did you test with an item like nickel or tungsten, which doesn't have a variable price per item?

    Weapons with varying durability. I found that the blacksmith would pay double what the alchemist paid. There are actually three alchemists in Kingsport. There's Alicia that has a store, Julia that has a tent and a bartender that sells reagents. :)

    I believe they were all underwhelming to the Blacksmith in Owl's Head. But that was in R32. I suppose if we're reverting back to that build for NPC's then we should be able to see if my memory is correct or not. I hope I'm wrong, it's not fun to waddle all the way to the upper area of Owl's Head. I'd much rather go to Kingsport.

    Richard also said that he hates in games where crafters make 100 daggers that are worthless and they get thrown away. He said SotA, everything you craft would have value and crafted items should be sold to NPCs and end up in loot tables.

    We've been told repeatedly since then that is the still the intent.

    So no, I don't think the intent is for crafted items to be worth less than the mats/fuels to make them.

    I bought a small vlg lot keep(old version which I prefer... other than the minor fact that it's bugged and still unusable) at the Brit housing vendor for 10K... everywhere else they were 20

    It's always tomorrow, never today, maybe we are stuck in an eternal loop and waiting :)

    They have had patches as late as 8 or 9 NBT

    Waiting sucks, but I'm sure they will get around to it
