Bringing back seasonal items??!?!?!?

Putting them back up again doesn't make any sense with that logic I could complain that they need to put the X-Mas stuff up because I was not able to capitalize on the mistake.

I also want to note I paid over the price they were put up for sale because I missed the first time they went on sale. **** happens they said they are making adjustments so it doesn't happen in the future. Now if it happens yet again by all means at that time lets flip out. Right now it is what it is

 

I had no idea it was even gone. I thought it was just 10$ now.

 

I guess im just angry I spent $50 on an expired item that they decided to bring back at half price..

But yea complaing will do no good im sure.

An apology is fine and dandy but it fixes nothing.

 

I am in the same boat I purchased mine after the fact because they were "Rare"

 

Well, it does suck.. but they took them down again.. AND now we know that there will not be anymore "one season" rares. Even with a few extras floating around, these will still be pretty exclusive items.

 

I see no measure of dishonesty. It's what it has always been, misunderstanding of intent, mis expectation of the unwritten and a few accidental mistakes. Adjust expectations, improve communications and have fun.

For example the Blood Rs have a few themed items. It doesn't say that those items are limited and in fact Darkstarr said in July that they may be released as add-on s after all of them are sold. Items are expensive to make. It's just business and this is just a partially publicly funded game.

 

Mabey a promis to never reprint any version of the grim reaper is possible. I believe this will add value back into the item.

The items that were accidentally brought back today that people bought should be removed and the accounts refunded the monies paid - due to the items should not have been available.
Preserve the rares for those that bought them last year.
And yes, I'll whine, because "my rares!"

I used to like the rares market..............I really can't wait to have my collection of exactly the same items all displaying a different year if I can bothered to click them.

 

I know the plan is to have the same recurring items each year, but it would be nice if there was ONE item just for that year... Like a jack-o-lantern face that is JUST for 2016. I agree that last year was overkill with single year rares... but one pumpkin or one tree or whatever per season would be great to have as a true rare.

 

I think it would be super awesome if one limited time rare item was available to be crafted a couple times a year. Throw the crafters a bone.

 

I actually think this non-rare stance will hurt Portalarium/SotA more than investing in slightly different versions that are unique to each season... As @E n v y said: people don't want to have to click or mouse over to see the year as the only difference...

It *will* kill the seasonals market in the very short term!

 

I'd still like to see limited quantity items available....but only if the item does not reappear. Limited items (i.e. oracle head) and ones with some sort of "ability" (i.e. prosperity tools) are the only ones that really entice me to make a purchase.

 

No surprise here, once I saw them remake the founder knights house and remarket them I saw all I needed to know about what to expect. Im done with the addon store, now when the HOB cabinets make a come back I might dive in again.

 

To all the people that purchased the "rare" Halloween masks from me. Im sorry. Lord British himself told me and others in a video conference that they would keep expired things rare. Please dont blame me for this.

 

At this point, I'll just buy the stuff that I would like to use in-game myself. Forget about speculation later on.

 

I am sure by rare he ment no other ultima game has them.

 

of course a slightly different item should be crafted. Its like the rare hats. It has the infinity symbol on them. The other ones can be purchased year round. What I really would like to see is a version that could be crafted with stats on them. They are only decorative now. But I actually want to use mine, but it is limiting me.
