I never played Ultima or UO but I am so looking forward to SotA.

Lord British returns. My first RPG was Ultima IV. I loved it. I can't wait for SoA to be ready.

Customary 1st forum post from a German Kickstarter participant who never managed to play the Ultima Games (but remembers Wing Commander quite well). Good to be here

 

Howdy Folks! I am so excited about this project and looking forward to getting started. I am an old school gamer but I never really got connected enough with people in MMOs enough to stay interested?Does anyone want a friend to go through the SoTA development process? thanks Charles(Citizen)

 

I am looking forward to this game and have the same advantage of the opportunity to support this project. Richard Garriot .. that is a name with which I still get goose bumps in memory of Ultima Online. Telarn, Germany.

 

Here's hoping for five years of successful RPG releases that bring back the best of the older style of games.

Exactly - Ultima IV was where I first learned the value of moral virtue, as crazy as that sounds.

You could kill all the monsters you wanted, but you didn't really progress in the game without learning the virtues.

The closest that games have come since then is a "good / evil" slider. In Ultima, it mattered who you were, not just what you killed.

How's that for a game with like 8 colors?? LOL.

Been avidly following the KS updates since I pledged. Spent almost 8hrs yesterday watching the live stream of the final hours of the KS. Wish I could have spent more!

Ultima 6 is what got me hooked on the Ultima games, and I can't say I've had the same experience with a game since then. So looking forward to see SotA!
