This may sound strange but here goes

I really don't like underground instances. Be it dungeons, caves, or mining instances. I like being out in the open fighting, hunting, building skills.
Now if the game had an above ground mining instance I would be in heaven.
For as long as I have played games I don't like being underground. I can't explain it I just don't. This doesn't mean I don't go into mines, caves, or dungeons they just aren't my preference for game play.

 

If you are after silver try vertas pass, it has roughly 30 silver nodes spread throughout the zone. For iron and copper, have a look in the necropolis foothills.

I like open air harvesting too. I have run all over...in and out of scenes just for this reason. I cant do the BIG mines solo except for Owl's Nest. So i try to find areas that arent too hard to handle the mobs. I can do one on one but not multiples especially saytrs/fauns. And archers really tick me off. But I try hard to find open spots as well

 

Not really that strange if you played games where you had to do mission impossible corpse runs to get your stuff after dying.

 

it's a good place to gather resources... lots of trees and cotton plants too... ^_^

 

There was nothing quite like rushing as fast as you could go, encountering a sudden burst of lag, to only get back to your corpse and find a mob group hovering waiting for you. There you were without a weapon or armor and no chance of defeating this group.

Or my most disliked moment of all, running out of reagents so you had no light spell in a dungeon.

 

I was only able to get in the area for a few minutes this morning before I had to log off. I looted a elder wolf pristine head, 2 silver nodes. I got as far as the first left hand turn when the ruin is.
One thing I didn't understand the polar bear and wolves were yellow to me. The bear had over 500 points I think and the wolves about 311. The one Elf mage I ran into had about 468 points but was green to me. Is that a bug?

 

No, health isn't the only determining factor of level.

 

This is not strange, I've been saying this in character for a while. Also, thank you for the tip on the outdoor mining locations!

 

If only the mage would drop a pristine head. I think after all the deaths they have given me it is the least he could do in return.

 

Where is necropolis foothills? Is it the same as necropolis barrens?

 

If you were a Kobold you would crave the cave. It's just easier on the eyes, is all. Spend too much time down there and ye might turn into one too. Curses.

I'm also a fan of outdoor harvesting as the mines bores me after an extended period of time.
