Cannot get screenshot.

    I have had no problems in the past but now, not sure if its a bug in the latest q&a build but I cannot get a copy of the screen pic. I have tried the F11 and my Prt Sc which I have always used and always worked. Anyone else have this? Patch QA.Win.64.411.Date.1026.16

    Look in the Controls and see what key has been set for Screen capture.

    F11 is default. Pics should end up in the same folder as your executable

    Just tested mine on QA under 411. it still works using F11 and shows up in the QA game folder.


    ... and if it actually doesn't work then a post under the R35 Dev+ area would be needed; this thread is under R34.

    Yes, this is the fix. I wonder why my settings changed, I never had to go to the folder before. Thanks everyone for the help :) I used to be able to hit the print scn and I could paste it in paint, but now it default copies to the exe folder. But anyway it works now and I could do my screenshots :)

    They may have started capturing the print screen key and are not passing it onto the system anymore so you can't use the clipboard buffer for SOTA screenshots. There are two ways around this.

    1) Use alt+prt scr, then paste in paint and see if it grabbed it.
    2) If you are running in windowed mode you can change focus to your desktop and hit ptr scr that will grab SOTA and all your other monitors (if you have multiple monitors).

    Weird...
    I was thinking it was broken too, but mine seems to have switched somehow from the default folder to c:/Users/myusername/my pictures/SotA

    Might check there if you're still not seeing them....or take a screen shot with f11 and try to do a search on your local machine for

    "SotA_11-21-16"

    Just update the 11-21-16 part to whatever the date is and it should find the png file....
