I Feel left out of the player base

    Rant hear

    <sarcasm> So I created an Avatar in the game and I feel like my needs have been over looked. It started when I went to a tavern and couldn't find any vegan dishes. I know I cant eat digital meat.!


    Also even tho I haven't done a virus scan on my computer I also know my avatar can not ingest anything with digital gluten. Yesterday when I bought a player made loaf of bread I almost died, got a debuff for like 3-4 hours and my chars animation looked bloated and lagged alot.

    I am very upset about this and this needs to be changed! This world will be unsafe for any future Avatars I make from this system as they will be handed down these digital traits! </sarcasm>

    Please help!

    There are vendors selling carrots & apples. If you are poor they do not current do anything except yell at you for taking them without paying.

    There are also corns, lettuce, and a few other fruits and vegetables as well.

Of course there are a few bandits and satyrs who are a tad protective about it. And if you want to give the vegan a tiny break, there is oyster meat for the taking by the shore as well.     I love butchering all the cows, sheep, wolves, bass, salmon, trout, bears, deer, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, ducks, crocodiles, and dragons I kill. Their meat is ever so tasty buttered and breaded! ;) Insects though just creep me out.

    You can actually go full heals and never eat and you will be completely in character here. You would not even have to harm any plants by eating them.

    I recommend role playing someone without food allergies. Not a lot of toilets to be found.

    I hope you really, really like the Ardoris Coleslaw.

    On a slightly more serious note, while I'm not vegan, I would like a few salads added into the cooking recipes, because I've got all this lettuce lying around and not a whole lot to do with it ;)

    The ironic thing is that gluten is really only a problem in the modern, industrialized world. 100 years ago, a species of wheat with high gluten content would be like 5% gluten or less. Also, 100 years ago and earlier, wheat was not the most common grain throughout the world for foodstuffs. Its only the modern, corporatized, industrial-agriculture culture we foster today that has shoved wheat to the forefront and most other grains in the background. The genetics and overall nutritional profile of contemporary wheat is rather foreign compared to what our grandparents ate. Its been un-naturally selected for stupidity, and cross pollinated with jackassery ;).

    Barely, Millet, Sorgum, Buckwheat, Rice, and many other grains were more common throughout most of the world. I bet people reading this dont even know what Job's Tears are ;-). And if you dont know, Sorgum bread is amazing, raw buckwheat honey is some of the most powerful natural medicine on Earth, and millet is like quinoa with full buffs. Modern wheat is garbage and devoid of the nutrition it had a century ago.

    So rest assured, its extremely likely that your avatar is eating extremely-low-to-no gluten in the breads and grain products of New Britannia. It requires an enormous amount of energy to screw up the food system the way modern humans on Earth have done, and the kobolds have not yet produced the sort of scalable technology required to do so.
