Confirmation E-Mail before character delete.

    A cool off period could be good as well. Leave it in a non-playable but recoverable state for X days before it's really deleted.

    Suggestion: require the user password to be re-entered when deleting a character. That way nobody can just click some buttons when you go off to the bathroom and cause major damage. This can also be useful when you want to show the game off to other people and let them "drive". This also avoids the problem of "disgruntled girl-/boy-friend" doing IRL griefing. (Sure, not helpful if they know your password, but still helpful most of the time, and easy to implement.)

    considering that we can have $$ on the account that we can lose by a grief or "accidentel" delete by someone who can acces our computer .
    for instance purchased lots from other player and such .

    FYI you only lose items and gold that are in your character inventory when the character is deleted. Bank and housing are unaffected.

    You also lose months worth of accumulated XP. That's gotta hurt.

    A confirmation-email might be a bit overshot. But some additional confirmation, like being asked for you account-password... or atleast the word "delete" as most other successfull games do it (or whatever you might seem fit) would be great.
