Trolls are gods now?

Same here, I've always had issues timing the jump in multi cause my connection isn't great. Not sure why anyone would even try it solo in multi, when you can just fight him completely lag free in friends/solo.

 

You would think if you are a Grandmaster at anything, that you would miss or fail less

 

Magic damage is pretty worthless on trolls now. I've had good luck with archery (in R39 at least, not sure if things changed).

You don't get items right away. I've been doing a few hours in QA every month, and I only recently noticed that I have two items now. Just keep QAing and reporting, and let the Attenpoints do as they will.

 

gm is NOT the standard these days. shoot for 120 blade skill. dont lock stuff at 100, go to 110 for the supporting skills.
i know of one blade guy who has 140 blades and can solo dragons with a healer.

Please let me know the tricks.
I know the jump through when he goes to stomp but I can not get past the regeneration even when he is on fire.
Is his earth magic resistance been boosted?
I noticed my stone fist does nothing on Patriarch Bears, like they are immune to stone fist, or was it lag, or a bug?
Getting smashed in the face with a big stone fist doesn't sound like it is something one should be immune to?

 

This is good advice, I have just started getting my Polearm up again.
The Troll fight takes so long though, it is not a boss, its loot sure is not all that exciting, just wondering why make a mob in a 3 skull area so difficult.

 

Was it the Nightshade pass one?
What sword did you buy?

Do you know, in 2 years, you are the first person on here that I have seen actually show me an organised deck.
My stance was always defensive, but you use bezerk, perhaps this was the big mistake I have been making for so long?
Do you have a PvE weapons deck for sword and or polearm?

The game is much harder now, and food, buffs, blessings, are pretty much a necessity.

Don't take is personally, these changes are all across the board. But yes, magic in particular has taken a beating lately. More mobs are simply impervious to it now... I've been running through the Love quests and am regularly running into obsidian mobs that I can't even touch. Trolls are at least avoidable... Yesterday I was encouraged to "sneak in the back way" to Malice only to be pounced by an untouchable obsidian bear at the top of the path. No way around him, so I just had to run like hell only to be jumped again by two hardened skeles and a red spider.

It's not clear to me at this point whether there is some additional balancing needed, or whether they are really intending to have less soloable content. At the least, if one is following the quests they should be able to stand a chance against mobs incidentally encountered along the way.

However the point you bring up about the con system is a salient one... It seems to only look at level differences whereas if I can't even got something at my own level... Well then it is pointless.

Ya... There's prolly a nerf coming for death magic also anyway.

I don't know if this is the intention, but the changes are compelling me to go back and just unlock every skill since I never know where I will need to pivot next.

Hopefully things will be balanced enough by launch that I can go back to role-playing Jaan rather than just doing what I need to in the moment to respond to the changes..
