Ohhhh you mean 12 slots for decks, not 12 slots within each deck.

Sorry I was confused... There are now slots to make 12 decks. Still 10 slots within each deck.

    Wishful thinking I guess... ;)

    Ok so:
I re did my sword and board deck thanks to help from forum suggestions.
I started a fight with Troll.
After 10 minutes I was so frustrated that I ran off.
In 10 minutes I had done less than 1000 damage on him.
I was using rend and ignite weapon to try and counter his regeneration.
Any hit from Troll on me was 100 damage minimum.
I was using 4 defensive abilities.

I did not enjoy the fight
The confusion ability that makes a player run around in a random direction is totally horrid.
I am too old and my reaction to this ability is too slow. ( I am confused in RL and this leaves me feeling inadequate to play this game, frustrated and angry )
I am actually staring at my keyboard trying to understand which key is forward, all the while trying to maintain my buffs and not get hit, all the while the Troll regens.
There is just too much going on for my old brain to comprehend.
The saddest part is I remember when this fight was a lot of fun.
Sure I got one hell of a beating, but it was doable, I came away thinking " wow that was a cool fight ", no longer, it has become a lesson in humility.
I have bonus Vs stun skill at level 80 yet it seems to do nothing.
I am trying to watch my combos, watch my health, watch my placement.
The Trolls animations do not match his attacks, I struggled with that quite a lot.

Fight is too long, frustrating, annoying and unrewarding.
I really tried to stick it out but it was just not fun.
When I come away from a game that makes me feel stupid, it is not a nice feeling, my skill set and adventure level tells me it is possible to beat the Troll as my character is but it is my RL playing abilities that have let me down.
I hate to admit defeat and really wanted to come back to what I loved about SoTa.
The Troll was my benchmark for my playing ability, sadly that benchmark has now been moved far above my pay grade.
Yes it is my play style ( or lack there of ).
I do not want easy street and I understand the higher level players want a challenge.
    Another door closes.

    TLDR:
    Troll kicks my old arse.
Another old fart moaning about the good old days.

    It's not you're real life skill, sadly it's purely adv lvl/skills :(
soon he won't be a challenge at all and that's when I start feeling the game is humiliating me

Its my skill level, the confusion debuff does my brain in, this will not change with adventure levels.
My adventure level is around 82-85 atm

When they use to fall on me, yes.
Now the only thing falling is my will to continue ;)

I'm a heavy stoner so at the confusion point I let go of movement keys all together. adventure level makes me not die from his attacks tho (cloth and shield melee)
iI so wish this game would get rid of adventure level all together but that's for a different thread :)

The troll is a fairly high level creature (60ish or 70ish) and using a weapon and/or having high magic attunment in a school you've specialized in (specializing in a school gives very high attunement which increases damage dramatically and negates some forms of resistance) can yield plenty to kill him.
