Anyone know where the Katana wielding bandits mentioned in the release notes are(More specifically than "Perrenial Coast" please)? I want some katanas to break down when patterns launch and I can't find them.
That explains why I couldn't find any. Thus ends the Great Bandit Massacre of 507, paving the way for the Great Bandit Massacre of 508. (Thank you for telling me). EDIT: Also, you may want to edit that bit out of the R38 post.
This is a prime example of why the Patch Notes shouldn't be written when things aren't in. You are misleading people into thinking things are in the game and fixed when they are not. You have 2+ of these issues each patch. This is really unacceptable in any patch notes to have false statements about the patch. But you guys have been doing it for over a year now.
All that did was get me to jump from scene to scene searching for them. On the plus side, several of those scenes have been changed since the last time I was in them(if I was ever in them).
That is literally impossible. The patch notes are 10+ pages of detailed notes and they have to be written and edited before the final build. I have to write them as a combination of what is in the current build and what we estimate will be in the final build and sometimes we guess wrong or something breaks and doesn't make it. I do my very best to catch those things that don't make it but sometimes something slips through the cracks. In this case this was purely an editing error. I edited the katanas out of the Perennial Coast improvements section but forgot about them in the katana bullet.
Hmm...since bandits will be wielding regular katanas, does this mean I will have to salvage my Ornate katana in order to get the pattern? (I REALLY need that Dragon's head on my pommel...for rather obvious reasons )
I think it's a safe bet. They might add temporary patterns like they're doing with the Claymore though.
I havent found any bandits with katana but I have found some skeletons....well one. Killed alot of sword wielding skels and got one katana. So I am assuming the ratio is gonna be quite low. As per expected.
Restless Woods. Tried North Brighton Woods but couldnt get far enough in to determine if they had any or not.
Yes, Guildmates have got patterns off of them. But as patterns from Salvage are rare, and these are rare drops, it's hard. (If I recall correctly, it took a GM in Blacksmithing Salvage, True Bronze Smithing Hammer, Benefactor Smithing Table, and an Obsidian Potion to get 2 out of 50 Katanas salvaged.)
