    Half the time or more, I clear the siege and only get a Lich Mage instead of a cabalist boss. What determines the actual boss? Is there a way to tell in advance? Thanks!

    Yeah, something seems broken to me. It's the Cabalists that are supposed to be the reason for the sieges. I submitted a bug report if you feel like adding your experience/info to it.

    @Kigu Starfish (Kor) didn't you say somewhere it's related to the celestial event that caused the siege being over?

    Active celestial event = Cabalist
    Over = Lich?

    This is correct.

    I went over this last night on stream when I was showing off Rifts End's new Moondial

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/149584187?t=26m30s

    A siege is caused by a moon passing through the constellation that represents that city. If the moon is within the constellation when the siege ends, you get the Cabalist represented by the moon (there can be multiple moons - multiple Cabalists). If there are no moons within the constellation, there is a Lich.

    Awesome!... and dammit that's just a basic setup of the moondial. Come on back when I get a chance to decorate around it with more style ;)

    Any moon, or the moon associated with the appropriate virtue/constelation?

    The 11 constellations are each associated with one of the devotional blessings. When a planet crosses in front of that constellation, towns with the associated devotional come under siege. The specific planet(s) determine the cabalists behind the siege. I can't say that it's working correctly, and it's really hard to confirm during the daytime when astrolabes don't show the constellations. What I do know is that a town with all 11 devotionals was under siege and there were two planets in the sky, and when the last engineer was killed, all we got was a lich.

    doubleclick a moondial or equip an astrolabe and you can see the constellations illustrated.

    Is there a good reference link that explains the different moons, cabalists, and anti-virtues...so we know who's attacking and when?

    Excellent, thank you. That is very helpful. Now my question is how can I tell which moon is which on the craftable moondial? The rings are so tightly wound and orbiting on different planes, I can't tell which moon is in the sector, which one is coming soon, etc. and there isn't a tooltip. Am I missing something?

    @Scottie's moondial madness post showed a moondial where Devotional of Honor was under siege by Avara....I don't see how you could tell at that scale. Are my eyes just getting bad?

    Seriously...can they get some love? At least a tooltip on the moons or different color to differentiate them. Otherwise they are pretty useless IMO :( Still look amazing though!!

    Looks like something is up with the moondials....another player and I have been studying them and testing moons and sieges. We've seen a few inconsistencies where moondial shows specific moons intersecting with virtues, yet the towns that have those devotionals don't have sieges whereas others do. Also a town siege had Nefas and Indigno in it, but their moons weren't in the sector of a constellation (devotional) that the town had. Extremely confusing.

    Hey there! If you can take some screen-shots showing the failure,...please, please, please send a bug to the appropriate place letting them know, so that the programmer responsible for fixing it has the info he needs to deal with it as a task... We definitely want to get this working right if it's not!
