I could see this. Something like "Well Maintained", where if your gear is within 10% of total durability it gains a bonus to its resistance. The idea being that items that are cared for take less durability damage than ones that are not. Since it would be a set bonus instead of individual pieces, would be something for players to work at, and actually make them use repair kits more often than just when the repair icon shows up.

because we have spent cotos and used a lot of repair kits before the damage of items was fixed some releases ago.

    Umm... HELL NO.

When your equipment is degraded enough it is time to replace it with a new item and support your favorite crafter. Example is you own a car and after so many years you go g

et a new one because it has worn down to the point it is not worth fixing it. Same rules apply here. :)

Well, not necessarily. If the damage of items was bugged or incorrect before, then the same rules don't apply. It should be more like the rules regarding defective airbags. Get 'em replaced or fixed at no charge to the owner.

Wouldn't this hurt the players that may have already burned through damaged items and not hoarded them in the hopes that they could convince the devs to bail them out? :)

Unless you are a mechanic, and are constantly fixing your car so that it lasts years longer than the average driver. You do realize that there are many older cars still on the road because they are well maintained, right?

This would have no effect at all on players who burn through items. It would only benefit players who don't let their gear get to the point where it starts taking lots of damage.

I really don't care either way, just thought this was an interesting idea.
