I'd like to see the option when we right click on any item (especially backpacks) to lock it out and not even show it in list when selling things.

I think Portalarium should hire someone who previously worked on Second Life because they've already figured out all of this item and property permission things... LOL

I suspect this falls into the testing category of our special items. There are many new items coming through these "new accounts" <insert no further comment clause here about seed invest accounts and their perks> o_O...
While in suspected testing of the topic, I'd say that I further suspect that this issue will be dealt with and approved for everyone when the lock-out section of the SOTA program heads to our team's work scheduling.

As with many of the suggestions from our @SabeSr I'd love to see this idea happen :D +1

Until then, I resort to putting stuff in bags.. i just wish if you do a deck swap the items would return to the bag from whence they came

I'd like to see them be tied to a certain bag as well...

they still show up in "sell" lists when in a backpack

Only somethings though - and that makes it even more confusing.. so for example
On the left we see what it says I can sell to the vendor, on the right we see all my "crap"

Let me dust off this topic :)
I suspect this is already in the list of things to do. (an option to exclude from vendor, rightclick menu for example). So many people are asking for it and it makes sense. More so because there is no buyback option.

Additionally, what about a new tab in the vendor window that shows a list of the filtered items that are excluded. You don't really need to show this filter anywhere else, because it's only meant for vendor anyway, so it's enough to just add a tab there. Also you could then use that filter tab to sell items from it again, or just include them for vendoring again with rightclick menu.
