New crafting componentes from mobs

Good day!

I got some new bow strings and elven hilts by salvaging elves bows and swords. Until we use them to craft some weapons we are not able to see the bonuses they give. Anyone started to collect all this info somewhere?

- Elven hilt
- Imbued Elven Bow String of Speed

 

Oh ok, I didn't realize those weaps are different from common ones when I had 30 in my inventory , thank you.

 

I was able to get two strings off of a single bow salvage earlier

 

I've been collecting and salvaging since Thursday and got no special strings yet. The density of archers compared to other types (like mages or fighters) is pretty low and when you do find an archer, it's unlikely you'll get a bow. Then, when you finally do get a bow, it's very unlikely that you'll get one that has special strings. On top of all that, when you finally find a bow with special strings, you have a very low chance of getting that string when you salvage.

 

Actually, the rate for strings isn't too bad...and I haven't had too bad a time finding archers, where are you farming?

 

The question is where are you farming?

 

Off the top of my head for elves, try Verdantis mines, crag foothills, greymark forest or if you're feeling brave The Rise.

Greymark in my opinion is the easiest of the above.

 

Crag Foothills and Gremark Forrest are where I've been spending all of my time.

 

Hmmm could it be salvage level? (I guess that your salvage level is high already though). At over 110 in carp salvage I'm getting them quite often.

If you can get to the verdantis mines side of the rise those two elven rooms (one has archers) are fairly easy and may provide a better drop rate.

Crag Foothills. Just as a point of reference, when I'm salvaging I'm GM carp salvage with a potion of reclamation.

[edit] I just got back from a two hour run in Greymark. I got 17 woodwind short bows. Three had elven bowstrings but when I salvaged, I got one imbued elven bow string of precision. None of the bows had the properties for that.

[edit 2] 96 now.

[edit 3] I also got an ashen heartwood from a reaper, so that trip was a winner.

Yep! I have gotten all of them out of there
