Let's Share Conversations from Owl's Head! Yay!

The adventure has begun! And it began with a troll guarding a bridge to a town. The town of Owl's Head.



He was really dumb, but at least he let me cross into the amazing town of Owl's Head. The place where I met...Nob...



There's still more people to meet and things to do. I even found a better outfit and fell through the floor of my house! Place really sucks.

But Owl's Head's been a really wonderful place so far. There's sheep and everything! I'll definitely be going back to talk to some more people. There's gotta be at least one person in this place who's not a giant troll, right?

Gat nabbit! I should've thought of this. I had interesting conversations with the towns folk of Owls head also.

Anybody find that damn prison?

 

The conversation seems to work well in my tests despite the lack of responses from all NPC's. I told the guard I was from hell, which is a clear lie and he believed I was telling the truth.

 

The NPCs (especially consersations like with Nob above) reminded me of the dimwitted Pakleds from Star Trek The Next Generation.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

Here's a problem I noticed.. this guy contradicts himself:
First he called me an outlander, then i ask him about outlander, and then he says outlander is something ignorant people would call me, but that he would never do such a thing.. which he did before saying that!!

 

Good catch - hopefully you put it in the bug report!

 

The contradiction makes sense when you understand the type of moral personality the guy has. Much like the people who claim they are "tolerant" or "open-minded"... at least they are until you talk about someone they vehemently disagree with and thus hate on a personal level.

 

When Nob told me my shoes looked funny, I told him, "Ya? Well your face looks funny."

The game then booted me.

I guess he didn't like to be insulted.

Thanks for sharing some fun, everyone! Here's the rest of my visit. Really looking forward to seeing more of this neat game.

So, after a really long nap, I decided to go back to Owl's Head. Was kind of tired and sore, but I had a quest to finish. You know. The Quest of the Avatar.

That eight virtue thing. Be a model to the people. Adventure all over and fight evil. With the avatar. Who's really cute.

And when I last saw him, he was at the tavern. So, I had to find it. You know. To follow his way and stuff.

Was asking lots of people, but they was acting all dumb with lots of what do you means and you don't says.

Then I saw a taverny building and met Alvin. He really wanted to wish me a good day.



But he didn't know what it meant.

Back outside, I met a pig. He was adorable!

Off I went again. To meet Bentham. Part man, part crab. Together forming the crabby man!



Was getting pretty disheartened. No one was being very helpful. Or nice. Then I met Victor.

He was a guard. Cause he said so and he was being all Owl's Head on me, too. So, I tried my amazing multilingual talking.



It didn't work. So I went into a building and dropped a fountain on my head. It was surprisingly refreshing.

When I came back outside, Trevor was waiting for me.



Could it be? This place had no taverns or schools?

Then I saw it. A sheep! We became friends and walked into a tavern together. It was like a joke was beginning and I was totally the star!



Guess it'll be a while before I'm ready for ruins and avatars, huh?
