10 timber wood for a bow?

Does it make 10 bows pr something?

Maybe its a high end bow from many layers and not one for children?

 

20 trees worth? so long as you dont fail and lose material?

 

Would you really be able to carry 20 full size trees with you?

 

yeah... we've beaten this dead horse so much all that's left is one untanned animal hide...

 

10 timber would require 60 wood, using one recipe, 30 wood with another. Seems like incredible overkill for a single bow.

 

Perhaps not very good at making bows... ?

Perhaps they should word it that you go through X amount of timbers to get that one perfect timber to make the bow or wand.

At GM it just takes you one.

Well, after some joking, true, some more realistic consumption in resources would be great.
But how to balance that ... a chopped tree would give wood for 10 boards etc. You could not carry than one at the same time and so on.
So all these numbers are abstract compromises.
