    so the poll got off to a rough start, i admit due to my jerk yes and no options, but if you can avoid that then please comment and vote. Valors mind works in mysterious ways.

    Hi guys and thank you for participating in this pole. The main point of this poll is to address the risk vs reward of the extreme debuff's of Fire Elementals, Air Elementals and Water Elementals. Currently they debuff a player so that they take 50% more armor and weapon damage.

    This results in the breaking of all items in a relatively short time period and 0 reward. As it stands, people who are aware of these debuffs avoid Every single zone with elementals as to avoid their hard earned gear from breaking. It seems to me that these debuffs sway the entire population away from a half dozen or more zones which completely negates all the hard work a zone developer puts into it.

    Well then, i had no clue this even happened. However with the upcoming changes to artifacts (not being repairable) i would love to see this changed.

    I just use founder gear when I fight them, but that is hard to do in the obsidian forge.

    Here is what i wrote to him after he asked my why i voted this way:
    "Imo it's important there is bigger decay on some mobs. Im from eve online where the motto "destroy more to build more" holds true and keeps the economy running. If people avoid certain zones because of decay they deprive themself of the variety and get bored grinding the same spots.
    Sounds like the complaints of a spoiled [removed word by Berek] =/ and devs should not whitewash the game and make it easy/comfortable everywhere."

    It's my opinion and i don't consider myself a troll, disregarding anyone who disagrees is a really class act tho **applauds slowly**

    I am a big supporter of items taking damage as it is vital to a player run economy.

    I hear ya jschoice but the Original Topic is "risk vs reward" and all mobs do damage to items at a normal rate

    28 gold -50 gold per drop isnt worth the 50% increased damage rate. Seems flawed
    I believe max exp for the highest elemental is 1000 exp.

    To clarify i do not like getting the debuff. the only "no" option also implies i liek the debuff, this is not the case.

    I think having equipment debuffs in game is important and it makes sens eont he elementals. But water should only debuff heavy armor and fire should only debuff cloth/leather armor.

    I will need to pay closer attention as my armor and weapon preservation passives are high I hardly notice the effect. In fact I almost was going to do a post suggesting that they lower those passives effectiveness. In terms of the debuffs, I don't see it impact me much as most of the elemental so die rather quickly for me.

    Interesting idea for the water affecting heavy and fire for cloth and leather. I could support the 50% debuff if elementals had a loot table

    If the language used in your poll was more neutral (and not predisposed that everyone should vote yes) then you might get more votes.

    Anyway, a lot of enemies have special abilities; if the elemental's didn't have their armor durability debuff then I personally feel they would be that much less interesting.

    Gear damage debuffs are incredibly lame, other than on double edged skills like body slam.
