    @Chris ... final answer:

    Does it, or does it not matter in the slightest?

    If not, why are there still items and blessings that confer increases to it?????

    If this is as useless as it was once, long ago, previously claimed, please make the necessary coding changes to replace this useless buff in all its forms with one that is worth a damn.

    In all fairness... I don't know why I tagged him... as that is about as useful as the topical stat.

    The new formula for taunt includes player level as one of its parameters

    Now it's possible to transfer experience both Adv / Craft from characters in the same account. I made this myself. Gave 200Million exp from the 1st to the 2nd. None of them suffered a change in the level adventure. is this normal behaviour right?

    Yeah it can lead to some odd results - I rolled a new alt, spent some time at the training dummy and got skills in the build to 80 - then went killing stuff in a 5 skull zone at AL10 :p

    i hear "AD non effect to hit chance"
    And I have 2 options why it still works in the formula

    1) Chris not have real info, and dont want work (110% chance for this)
    2) Chris just forgote do her work (110% chance for this)

    Last time Chris addressed, and it was quite recently, only health and focus benefit from adventuring level. It isn't doesn't increase hit chance. It doesn't increase dex, str, or int. It was to affect something with pets and I know Chris was messing with it in pets, so I don't know if he took it out. I don't remember him using it for taunt, (what I remember is that your skill level in taunt was to determine how much aggro was added to the table Before it was one value for all skill elvels, now it varies by skill level.

    I don't know where you got that formula, but if its correct...
    • the adventure level section of that code is only relevant if sourceGE.m_type is NOT a PlayerCharacter (if the game entity is a player character it seems to be using the skill level and if it is NOT a player character it seems to be using adventure level )
    • Also the hitChance += 50f; seems totally redundant since its inside an if statement that checks to see if hitChance = 0 and the hitChance started with hitChance += 25f
    • @Chris Why do str and int increase hit chance in addition to increasing damage? (Assuming the formula posted above is correct...)
      • Str increases physical damage AND your chance to hit with Melee attacks?
      • Int increase magic damage AND your chance to hit with Magic attacks?
      • Dex just increases chance to hit with ranged attacks (and never does anything for damage)
      • Why not give Dex some love and let it always be used for hit chance?

    From what I can see having higher adventure level makes a big diff in how hard you hit. example a normally red mob I hit weak, however after buff it cons yellow I can hit much harder and crit more it seems.
    That is only from my observation. I generally stack on the 3 days and the devo one to take ancient dragons :)

    Thanks for all the replies... just looking for the final word on this, since as I stated in the first post, Chris himself said that aside from a very slight impact on stats, it was supposed to have zero effect elsewhere, and was only really a mile marker stat.

    A while back chris made a change where "hit chance" is no longer its own thing. Instead, you now technically have a 100% chance to hit and the target has some chance to dodge based on dex (or dodge skill). that's why you never see "miss" anymore when swinging and instead only see "Dodge"

    some time After that change, I did an experiment where I went through verdantis mines and up to the rise mage room with my skills set in the 90's. I attempted once with adv level 140, and again with adv level 1. the only difference was roughly 300-400 health and focus. There was no change to hits or damage while skills were the same.


    More recently I asked him to confirm in one of his streams, and his reply was that it currently only affects health and focus (at adv level 100, each additional adv level gives you about 2 health)

    Even more recently I've heard (in this thread) that its being used in the new taunt mechanics, which I think is actually a good idea.

    How about... No. I have a job that limits my free time, and what little of it I do have, I would rather play the game than watch chris finally find out what his game is actually doing.

    This is their official channel for information. They need to start using it that way!
