We downed two Aether Liches and two Aether Corpions today. They all dropped stuff that the very low level mobs drop - Corpion Wax and Rotting Flesh and such. And about 12 gold each. This left us very underwhelmed, and we did not feel the effort was worth it. So we will probably not do them again.

Seems like you (Portalarium) went to a lot of work to create these new mobs. But there does not appear to be much point to do them more than once just to say you did it.

Consider some more advanced loot drops to make these worth hunting?

This surprised you? How long have you been playing Shroud?

In all seriousness, you will likely have to kill quite a few to get artifacts, or the new materials they mentioned. This really is not shocking.

Just trying to make a suggestion to increase repeatable game play. :)

And I am not talking about increased artifact drops, although that does make some sense with harder mobs. How about some recipes, or imbued potions? Maybe 500 gold? Reagents? Something to sweeten the pot.

If people only do these for a few days, the development effort was wasted.

Their version of more loot drops include garbage drops like paintings. All loot is some only thing difference in SOTA is the EXP

I'll try to get some more unique, meaningful loot on them before our last patch of the release. They do each have at least 1 unique item each currently but otherwise on par with other bosses.

@Chris brought down about 10 of them and only got one vial potion and a attunement ring on first kill. Rest was only "garbage"

Wanna know is it normal that they are 2 of them spawning pretty barely side by side? (Was a mess to deal with haha)

So perhaps this is where we supply the suggestion of: "They should make a new special event that increases the chance of getting fancy loot by x2 or x4 or some other multiplier." It could be something to vary up things as a special event like the double XP thing.

No more events... at least not things that multiply base values of things.

The problem here, @Chris, is that they ARE on a par with other bosses, and that is ridiculously underwhelming. Take a look at crafting, and imagine some places where a special (but not ridiculously rare) item could allow for variations on a theme, or impart certain abilities to crafted items like mini-mastercrafts or enchants. Make them so they don't sell for more than one of the now-prolific paintings (16 gp) to npc's at a minimum, or a jewel or or borer at maximum.

    part of the problem solved.
