All food items need to be consumable and have effects

I sincerely hope that all the items we find around the game will become fully interactive objects.. Currently I am disappointed at the Food system (or lack of). Once again if it still is missing features or? I'm not sure /haven't heard about it. I haven't seen or heard anything about usable food buffs in game yet - such as extra regeneration after killing and preparing a deer/pig/cow meat corpse. The option to cook the raw food as well.

It's going to be important to let players supply the food aspect of the game as well, selling food .

The nutrition system still needs A LOT of work... expect more of a variety of buffs plus new recipes coming soon. This is one area that Lord British has mentioned that he has BIG plans. I hope that cooking and agriculture will grow together in the near future!

 

Food buffs, yeah! Bread loaf of mana expansion.

 

I hope to make delicious stew (or ribs) from butchered meat in game.

Unfortunately, they still all give just a minor (+1) health regeneration buff. But they will be having a multitude of buffs soon.
