Here's a set of controls that feel much more familiar to me (and for most of the people I've talked to)...

    Movement: wasd, as usual.
    Rotate Left: q
    Rotate Right: e
    Jump: space
    Interact: f
    Toggle Cursor*: <left alt>-`
Zoom In: Mouse wheel up / page-up
Zoom Out: Mouse wheel down / page-down
    Toggle First Person: v
    Sheath/Unsheath: `
    Toggle Attack: r
    Next Target: <tab>
    Next Target Ally: <ctrl>-<tab>
    Attack: <none>
    Hotbar: (same as standard)
    Quick Swap Deck: x
    Target Self: <f1>
Target Party Member <x>: (same as standard)
    Start Glyph Combo: c
Toggle Auto Run: <scroll lock> (tough key to use, as it's not on macs)
    Walk: insert

These are really just my opinionated settings...

    Character Sheet: <ctrl>-c
    Inventory: <ctrl>-i, i
    Recipe Book: <ctrl>-b
    Journal: <ctrl>-j
    Toggle Friends: <ctrl>-f
    Toggle BlockedList: <none>
    Toggle EmotesList: <ctrl>-o
    Toggle Compass: <none>
    Toggle Nearby Player List: <ctrl>-p
    Toggle Deed List:<ctrl>-u
Toggle The Price Of The Oracle: <none>
    Toggle Guild War List: <none>
    Item Permissions: <alt>-p

I'm ignoring the pet commands, as I don't have one.

Things that are design bugs and should be fixed:

    - clicking on things should select them. Drop <shift>-click.
    - allow key mappings with the <shift> modifier.
    - allow key mappings with multiple modiers (e.g., <ctrl>-<alt>-x).

Couple things that should be considered:

Stop using keypad keys. A lot of people no long have one, especially anyone who ends up playing on a laptop.

Allow us to re-map "Open Options/Quit Menu" away from <esc>. The <esc>key is used for important interactions like de-selecting targets and closing windows. However, if you hit it one too many times, the options window opens, which is a modal window, and is supper annoying to accidentally open in combat. I realize what it does today is common, but you could at least let us 'fix' it.

Moving the camera with <right-click>-<drag> does two different things. When you aren't moving, it freely moves the camera. When you are moving, it 'steers' the avatar. It would be great if <right-click>-<drag> always steered the avatar, and moved the camera relative to the avatar movement. Then have <left-click>-<drag> freely move the camera. This would allow us to see more of the world around us as we moved through scenes.

(note that when I say <right-click> I really mean <secondary-click>, I'm empathetic to lefties.)

    * Ideally, it'd be nice to be able to disable mode-switching completely. Instead, I put mode-switching on a key that isn't very useful, so I can avoid ever using it.
