Started my taming journey quite recently with a new character, and I've been pretty pleased with the results except for the Summoning skill taking forever to raise, mainly due to the unavoidable 12-or-so-minutes delay between attempts. I can happily tame obsidian bears/boars/wolves but am way below the summoning level that I need to actually use them. The way things are going my tier 3 innate skills (combat training etc) will hit that level before summoning does since every active glyph bumps them up. Is there any way to actively work at raising summoning skill? It just seems bizarre that summoning doesn't track better with base taming skill.
Yup! At level 120 of the refresh innate, you can INSTANTLY re-summon your pet, so if you can grind that up that high, its gonna be easy mode after!
It's painful to say the least. but you missed the bus on this, as recently taming overall was changed to take longer to gain. So while it took forever before .. now it's forever and a day. Keep at it. Well worth it.
Until you get refresh up. PRO TIP: Just summon your pet, dismiss your pet, run up three flights of stairs and jump off to your death. That will reset your timer. Run to the res ankh spot. This is the olde school way of resetting the timer. don't wear any clothes as to not damage your gear.
119. the skill cooldown is 10 seconds, so you don't need it to be 0, you just need it to be less than 10.
Did Chris ever say why he made this change - since it only hurts new tamers ? ( Disclaimer - I don't have a dog in this fight, as my Taming skills are already very high... )
he discovered the xp and train time required was 1/4 what it should have been, he left the xp and fixed the time
Raise your adventure experience pool to 100,000,000 first, then take an obsidian potion of guidance and start summoning.
You're right, but explain to newer players how they go about raising 100mil xp's. Put yourself in their shoes.......
