    Between RG & SL...

    The Mic was turned ON a few seconds before the Telethon Video started and RG was telling SL what subjects they were not going to talk about...

    Those topics were:

    -The Purge
    -Handholding
    -and Open PvP "everywhere" during certain celestial events

    I'll start speculating about:
    -The Purge, I think this is "All" Gold will be purged from the players at launch, so everyone starts on an even field... I sure wouldn't like a chr wipe of all my skills which is what happened in UO at launch...

    -Handholding, I think this is welcome and maybe have a toggle for those who don't wish more Handholding

    -Open PvP during certain celestial events, I myself, don't PvP and play mostly in SPO, so I'm wondering how this is handled? I wouldn't like to be pulled out of SPO and into MPO during these events, which I believe will happen regularly... I would like to see a "Witching hour" start at one event, and finish a "game day" or two later at the same event... I think the "game days" are short enough, so it won't impact all players, and if I can continue in SPO, I won't notice it at all... So more power to PvP...

    Go over to the Telethon video and listen to the very start, either they're giving us clues or they let it slip, when Chris said "we're Live, we're Live"... Time index 00:03:40

    Even given the fact that I think speculation is a bad thing,if they did either of those of your point #1, the community rage would be felt for months and I have no doubt we will lose people.

    Sounds like a double negative, one opinion I don't share... I would be quite happy to give up my gold for a fresh start, after all it's just a game, go out and get more...

    i'm still bitter about that. not because of the joke itself (which wasn't funny, but that doesn't really bother me), but because they SHUT DOWN THE FORUMS just two days after a release. whoever thought of that clearly does not value the work done in the bug forums.

    Kind of makes you think doesn't it... the reason for not having GM, Seers and Counselors is that we can't take volunteers... well I see people working more than volunteers in the bug forum. It's amazing but sure leaves me wondering...

    Now wait a minute, you got it all wrong in the OP! The purge is not about stealing player gold. That would be really low! No. Instead, all adventure skill experience will be purged!
