API for mobile apps

    Anyone know if this is going to be a thing? I'd love to work on some mobile apps that notify players in game if vendor items sell, close to not selling, if they have mail in game, etc.

    Not any time soon. They have the capability for 3rd party authorization, but nothing publicly documented that I have seen.

    The meretz app has the authorization mechanism and the ability to trigger items rewarded in-game. I doubt there's much else implemented in this fashion.

    I want an app that lets me read books that are in my character's inventory. When I'm playing I usually don't want to sit and read the long ones.
