    You don't. Clicking both mouse buttons moves you in the direction your camera is facing. There should also be better keybinding options in future releases.

    The Mac version might be different, but that version is still early. There was no Mac version for RE1.

    Double clicking W will also enable autorun, might come in handy sometimes.
