Backstab + Ranged Combat?

Does the Backstab skill work with bows? I tried to do some testing but with the huge damage range it is really hard to tell. I did have two slightly higher crits with the only change being an AL and Backstab. But again, with the damage range being so big it is hard to tell if that was a result of the skill.

Is that written somewhere? I can't find it.

 

Tooltip simply states that it increases damage from behind. @Chris can we get clarification?

 

The tool tip just says increased damage from the back. So maybe. I leveled to 80 just in case. Unlocking it gives 10%.

 

My friend test already and he say : Backstap just work to physical damage, spell damage don't work.

 

In the tooltip, is there something that says "requirement"?

 

Nada.

 

It is supposed to replace the damage x4 from behind the target so it "should" work with all types of mele weapons - NOT spells. Archery should be included BUg report it if oyu notice it does not see what they say.

Just now on the livestream, @Chris confirmed that Backstab works with Ranged.
