Basements for waterfront homes?

This may be very easily answered, but can you have a basement with a waterfront home or lighthouse?

 

I believe the answer supplied has been Yes.

 

Good Morning to both of you. The answer is absolutely yes! We will be getting to our basements through a blue portal just like in the wizard's tower or between Owl's Head & Kingsport. They said that portal would be on the lot somewhere. I'm not sure where on the lot has been decided yet but that's how it's going to work.

 

I don't remember Starr saying anything about a portal, he did however say the stairs down the "tunnel" will just be a bit longer to get to the water floor.

 

That was a joke. They can't put tunnels down to the basements because they didn't figure out how to cut through the terrain.

 

I'm interested about the continuity of a tunnel, in a house boat. Galleons for example, they'd sink! I'm sure they'll work something out, but I can't imagine the waterfront properties that take on the form of boats.

I didn't read it as a joke. I do apologize. I was just hoping that what you said want true, but it wouldn't surprise me

 

great point, i wonder if the boat would look more like a ship ran aground. Some kind of visual connection between the boat and a rock or piece of land. That would help in the illusion of a basement.

 

I wish I could remember what video the teleporter thing came up in. Something in me wants to say it was during the unity scene jam time when they were teaching us how to put down terrain. As far as the boat goes they will be attached to land via a bridge. So I'm guessing we'll get a little shed on land next to the bridge lol.

 

I hope we see the use of basements in R4. I would love to see what they look like. Only so much from posted pictures.
