Batching Materials/Swift Refine Materials not gaining Skill

I recently this patch started learning the above skills. The skills will not increase with crafting exp in pool and both arrows green in the up (gain) position.

 

@Argoth, the refining subskills for all refining trees only apply to the recipes that are under the "refined materials" subcategory in the recipe book for that tree. ...so for instance, for textiles, that's spools of thread and nothing else. additionally, batch will only increase when you're doing batches, not making a quick one-off.
