Will we still be able to purchase a POT after the launch? Any future plans that would allow us to upgrade towns?
Greetings Mishras! Word is that the team is not thus far planning to cap POTs. Just note that, at this point, they must be nested in other towns and will not appear on the overland map. And yes, towns will be upgradeable. The latest is covered in a design concept post by Darkstarr here: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/f...-towns-player-run-towns-and-water-lots.46411/ Cheers!
Per announcement https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/?p=56208, you have up until Aug 2016 to purchase a new POT from them. But yes, it has to be nested POT instead of over world.
1) Also from the store purchase page when you click on a particular town size: There will be a path to achieve this in game via in game gold purchase but the ownership of the scene will incur a rental fee. I would expect it to be very difficult/expensive endeavor to achieve this in-game. 2) Also, you need the town details in by May 28th (guestimating, I know it was May something) to have your town in the game for final-wipe. 3) You can only obtain a POT now with direct access to the overland map by purchasing one from another player now, otherwise your POT will only be accessed from within the scene of another town or POT.
If you wait until Episode 2, there will be a new land mass and you can place a PoT there that is visible on the map. If you buy a PoT during Episode 1, they have already capped how many are visible on the overworld map. You can still have a PoT in Novia (continent for Episode 1) but it would be accessible through another town. You can pick an existing PoT and link yours to theirs.
Waiting for Episode 2 would be a much better and I'm not really in a hurry. Thank you for the offer and I will keep it in mind.
Yes, the POT owners get to place lot markers to designate the land for housing. The owners still need land lot deeds in order to claim the actual lots.
