I get the concept behind this, but this has become one of my biggest annoyances with the game.

At one point Richard tweeted out that he agreed this needs to be tweaked.

Can we please either just disable this, or tweak it a bit?

I think it would be funny if there was an accidental punt animation that occured when you accidentally run into a small critters proximity bubble, as long as it didn't slow us or ding us for karma. 8D

I posted about this some time ago. A work around right now is to run around town in combat mode. You will pass right through everyone.

Just be sure autoattack isn't enabled or you could easily and inadvertently engage a PvP flagged player.

I don't understand why this mechanic is still in the game. It doesn't make the game more fun (just the opposite in fact), it doesn't help the economy... it doesn't add any value whatsoever.

I doubt it is there to add value, it's no doubt there to add immersion. Problem is in real life a person wouldn't just keep walking and yell "Hey" they would also move. I don't like games where everyone just walks through everyone, but what is there currently is cumbersome. This problem is way down my list though, honestly.

It doesn't add any immersion either.

Agreed, I'm just suggesting my assumed intent behind the mechanic.

I wouldn't mind if the NPCs didn't purposely walk into you and the area of effect was the size of the NPC rather than a volume of space at least a foot larger than the NPC on every side.

The worst part is I'll be stood completely still minding my own business, and someone will walk into ME and say "Do you mind!?"
    Rude lol

increasing watcher scan range might be a quick fix, at least they wouldn't intentionally run into your path so often
