beta

i just would like to know for how long are we going to be able to play the beta.
is it going to be for sertain dates or till release of the game.

 

I'm pretty sure the beta goes up until launch but I don't recall if they've said specifically.

For reference purposes...

Ultima Online Pre-Alpha Test April and May of 1996 (lasted for a few weeks)
Ultima Online Beta Test Phase 1 June 1997 (lasted for about 1 week)
Ultima Online Beta Test Phase 2 July of 1997 (lasted from July til a few days before release September 24th, it felt like 3 months but was probably closer to 2.5 months)

 

The purpose of the alpha/beta tests are to wring out problems and to make sure the game is properly balanced. It's not just a period of free play. So I suspect testing will continue until the dev team is satisfied that the game is ready to release.

 

I'm assuming this game will have a much longer beta. They've got a community much earlier into development.

good online games to play.this year was a barren year for mmo games .
next year we will be able to pick and choose.
going to buy my friend the game when it launches,he fixes my pc problems and i buy him
one good game a year.he is a huge fan of skyrim and this game looks more interesting.

 

You'll actually save money by getting it before the pledge options expire as well as have access to both the Alpha and Beta.
