Does the level of difficulty of the item seem to make a difference?

For resources savings, could i just make arrowheads instead of platemail boots and receive the same skill gain?

I understand I can't smelt arrow heads and thus being a bit more costly, but I'm trying to figure out if making 1 item vs another creates better skill gain?

    Any information would be helpful

What you make doesnt make a difference.

The higher the XP pool, the more you gain - Regardless of what you make.

I do *NOT* Agree with this system, and its so silly its bound to be changed eventually - but use it while it last :)

What you make don't affects how much from xp pool thats transfered to the skill
However it affects how much crafting experience you gets from crating the item.

I belive that the first time you craft a item you get a certain value and that value drops the more you do down to perhaps 20% of the first
