    Details: Blacksmith Salvage blacksmith salvage either gives a pattern or metal scrap, but not both. This is true for Montante, Elven Estoc, rusty armor, etc.

    This is true for all salvage, not just blacksmithing. It is also "by design", although it's a terrible design.
