first I'd like to welcome all potential new players this includes Casual Players and Hardcore players, and from them 2 categories this includes PVPERS,PVERS, Roleplayers, RMT traders, Potential investors everyone for any reason you bought this game something has made you like it enough to make that initial purchase.

Now This is an MMORPG, which has its categories as well as Themed or sandbox etc. And Portalaium has taken on probably one of the biggest ambitious goals in trying to please everyone which I'm sure they know they will never in a million years be able to please everyone that's just impossible.

This is also a CROWD Funded game, which also going to make the above statement difficult. But they do try every Month with updates and fixes. So they are always going to hear something that someone didn't like or someone wondering why they didn't fix something they did not work on yet.

I have been playing games since I was a kid on the Atari fighting my cousins to play Pong, Centepid or asteroids. A LOT has changed since then, for example, CONVENIENCE THINGS--

Remote Controls for your TV ( I was my dad's remote control I had to get up turn the knob and position the antennas to get the station in---God I really miss these days)

Microwaves ( Holy Crap this, in my opinion, has been the best invention in my lifetime)

Cell Phones ( Kids these days will never know what it is like to really not be found or reached like when i was a kid)
those are just a couple examples.
We live in a world where convenience takes priority over things and that's where you end up spending more money than needed and get Impatient for the things you want or need

I'm not going to tell you what skills to use or what to do in-game that's up to you to decide and figure out by researching websites forum posts watch NBNN news https://www.twitch.tv/nbnnnews

    Use the Wikki http://sotawiki.net/sota/Main_Page

Look and read the Main website page once in a while https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/?port_evt=login&page_id=29385

And there are many other sites to look up stuff you may want to know also you can always ask someone most people are more than willing to help https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?forums/player-created-resources.486/

Ok so my little Guide is actually gonna start now
    1. Follow the Truth, Love and courage paths the story is really cool and the places it takes you are definitely uniques and fun to do. when you run into stuff being too hard for you to go back and level up in some of those places. what is nice stuff you loot in the beginning areas are used in endgame as well you just want not loot as fast or as much nor will you get the rarer things that you really do not need yet! Don't worry it will come and before you know it you'll have so much stuff you won't know what to do with it.

    2. This goes along with the first thing Find a place to live or rather drop your loot off and start buying or making your own Storage containers. There are many places to live free and you will be amazed at what people can and will do to help you out.

    3. Find a Guild make friends, listen to peoples advice. This does not mean you have to listen to there advice In my opinion only all advice is good you just need to figure out if it is good or bad and then make up your mind and go with it

    4. Don't get distracted with shinies most things in-game are deco or cosmetic and you eventually will have it when you have enough gold or whatever you choose to get your things with. or loot it yourself.

    5. All MMO's are mostly a Grind in some way or another that is just reality. Life itself is a Grind. How hard you Grind is up to you. This is not a Pay to Play Game. You pay for it and now you have the Game till the Server closes and a bonus to that you can play this offline so basically, you now own SOTA and have it forever.

    6. This is my opinion only but Obsidian Potions may seem expensive but are very valuable and will help you keep the durability on your Gear, Help you salvage items better, Help you Gather Items quicker, Help you use fewer Reagents etc. And they Last for 7 days and you can have all the obsidian potions running if you choose
    Check them out here http://sotawiki.net/sota/Obsidian_Crown_Merchant

    7. Blessings These are 3 day buffs you can get that are very useful in the same ways that obsidian potions are used. And there are Devotionals that last 10 hours as well here is a link for the devotionals.
You can have 2 of these running at a time
    http://sotawiki.net/sota/Devotionals

    8. There are some other things I'm sure I'm leaving out but them things I have mentioned have helped me out more than I can put into words.

Lastly, I hope this has helped at least one person or many i will be happy

If anyone ever has a question or wants to tell me something I missed or don't know please let me know I love to learn and adapt to whatever is thrown at me

Thanks all and I hope to see you in game one day
