[By design] The red dress as display - flat on the ground only?

So I was really excited when I read that the red dresses would be a display item. How fitting for my tailoring shops!

Then I tried to display on. It can not be put on the wall. Only laid flat on the ground. Is this as intended or a bug?

 

The only cloth items that can be put on the wall are cloaks (hanging style). Some cloth items are meant to be flat on the ground. Others are not, and are more propped up. The founder's chest is one. It depends on the item as cloth items cannot have both deco styles. The dress is too big to be propped up with the current mechanics; it's just not possible at the moment. This is why it has the more traditional folded look.

I was stocking my shop today and looked at the way the red dress looks. It’s not a folded look. It’s just flat. There is no way to display it like that. Can you take a look to see what I mean?
