Can't create a mace ?

    I just cannot figure this out? ! I have all the stuff needed, the mace head, the handle and a chunk of coal? and it says no recipe found! at least thats what the wiki says i need to create the mace.... i looked in the vendors for a recipe to create an iron mace with a maple handle... . and they didn't have that recipe just ones to create the mace heads.... . . am I missing something ? anyone able to create a simple mace ?
