Can't find Charlotte Gray

I've returned to Solace Bridge, went to the ruins, yet Charlotte is nowhere to be found. As a side note, I've found Quincy's broken sword hilt and completed that, but cannot seem to complete this one. Any help would be appreciated

 

Did you check upstairs inside the burning house?

 

I can only see one building that's (relatively) intact. I went upstairs to find the sword hilt and Quincy's letter. I didn't see Charlotte, or anyone else for that matter inside the house. Bear in mind, this is after taking the 'truth' pathway, if that makes any difference.

 

First, check your journal. I think you'll find you don't have a quest to find Charlotte.
The only way to find Charlotte is to start the game in the Path of Love.
If you don't find and save her during the tutorial, she is dead.
You can find her skeleton on the second floor of the building, where she stands during the tutorial.
If you chose the Path of Courage, or Path of Truth, you never had a chance to save her.
If you chose the Path of Love, and missed her the first time through Solace Bridge, and return to find her, you are too late.

 

Same here, have never been able to find her skeleton either.

 

It's laying on the floor at the top of the stairs.
It's not labeled, and you can't loot it.
It's just there.

 

But how do I tell her mother then to finish the quest?

 

You don't. Check your journal. Do you actually have a quest for Charlotte in your journal?
If you didn't take the Path of Love, and save Charlotte during the tutorial, then you don't have a quest to complete.

 

You are to my utter surprise totally right, there is no quest! So, how did I come to the notion I had a quest for that? It'll probably always be a mystery...

 

Took me a while to figure it out as well. Her mother asks us to bring word, and that seems like we're being given a quest, but alas.
