can't get my utility hotbar to show up at all

just started playing today & was very interested in the gathering/crafting portion of the game, but no matter what i try, the only hotbar i have is the combat one, so i'm unable to do any gathering of any kind...someone please help

 

To gain access to the utility bar, you must go to the trainer in Soltown and ask it about the utility bar. Except for fishing, you should still be able to gather and craft without the utility bar however. To craft just go to the appropriate crafting table and to gather double click or press "e" on a resource node.
