Can't open SoTA. Any idea what this message means?

    "There should be 'Shroud of the Avatar_Data'
    folder next to the executable"

    The folder does exist in the Port Directory.

    seems to me that something it is looking for at start is corrupted -


    sounds like you have the standalone version, not steam?
    i'd recommend redownloading the installer and starting over.

    if i missed something and it IS steam, delete the local files then reinstall.

    Thank you, @ThurisazSheol. I have the standalone version. I did start over, and added a couple of reboots, and the problem seems to have resolved itself. Thank you for taking the time to help. Much appreciated!

    I have had this before. Uninstall and reinstall fixed it.
