Can't use Obsidian Book of Unlearning

I have tried to read it (2-click with left mouse button), examine it (right click it) and drag to the toolbar. How it should work?

 

I don't know either.

Also, you can't use it as a decoration. Lame.

 

Have it in your inventory
Open your Skill Window "K"
Right click the skill you are trying to unlearn with the book
Choose the correct option
Done

As I did and I'll just get "Track Advancement on HUD" with or without the book.

Worked for me, book was in inventory, not a bag in inventory
Skill has to be higher then the minimums though, It doesn't take it all the way down, so if it's 40 or under it may not work.

did you right click other skills to see if option is there? perhaps a bugged skill?
What lvl and what skill?

Did you buy the book from an obsidian merchant, or did you buy it from a player vendor, I know theres a nasty grief issue going around, where that may be a fake book, renamed, (assuming that you tried to double click you would have found this out anyway)

 

I suspect the skill you're trying to unlearn isn't high enough to be considered eligible, based on what prerequisite requirements are in effect. For instance, I could wants to unlearn Ignite Weapon, but because of the other skills that are relying on it, I could only get it down to lvl 40, and anything below 40 wouldn't be accepted for unlearning as long as the requisite skills are around.

 

Have you tried right clicking the skill while at a trainer? I could only get mine to work while at the trainer.

 

It does not work on all glyphs. I tried to un-train my reckless and defensive stance and it would not let me.
Other skills are removable, but only if they give you the option of being unlearned in the first place.
