Actually, it is working fine.
What you are seeing is Shield of Crystal increasing the pet's max health - which is what it is supposed to do, and then you follow it with a heal to use the extra hp's it now has.
If you look at the HP (health) numbers, you will see this in your own movie.

 

The video is way too fuzzy for me to read those numbers so I figured it was best to let the Dev's review. Some video's don't scale up well to my resolution/monitor.

 

I see what you mean. On creation the Earth Elemental showed 275/275, then after casting Shield of Crystal it was 291/376.
