Castle Atos

Given the intent of this scene, should it be public instance only?

 

Where is Castle Atos? I haven't figured out where they put it.

 

They haven't yet placed it. The only way is scroll or direct dev intervention.

 

Will need a friend who has already visited the scene. Have them go there. Set your multiplayer to open, and then teleport to your friend.

Well.. besides devs?

 

I was zoned in by Atos before the awards event. There were already several people there.

 

A group of us were summoned there the day before the awards event. Don't know who was actually summoned first, might have been me. I didn't see anyone but Shompers in scene at the time but then I got sent to my own instance really quick. Atos had offered to zone us to Atolls of Atos, an old but not open to us scene but then when he discovered it was set to devs only he got the OK from List to bring us to Castle Atos instead.

 

What did it take to be summoned to the new scene early? Was it some kind of sweepstakes?

 

We just happened to be online when Atos popped into universal chat and asked if anyone wanted to see it. Was an open invitation to all who had that lucky timing.

 

I just used a teleport to friend scroll.

 

OK, so the archery targets in Castle Atos are very special. Auto attacking them is at hyper-speed.

 

FYI Atos turned on a speed buff in Castle Atos for the holiday. It increases draw speed.

 

I saw it in Overworld a couple days ago. It's in Perennial, just south of Solace Bridge.

 

Indeed! The entire zone is at a 1.5x speed modifier (I believe that's the multiplier he used) so everything in there will be going super-speed. Castings, attacking, running, drawing, etc. It will last until the instance is gone (as I understand it).

 

Well, it sure helped me get my Range skill from 100 to 120 in like three minutes.
