Castles of Scotland and Ireland

    A Couple of weeks ago my wife and I went to Scotland and Ireland for two weeks. We traveled the countryside of both places and while we did see a lot, there was so much more to see. I encourage anyone who has the chance to see the spender and majesty of these countries. It was truly a vacation I will never forget!

    A camera just cannot do justice to what we got to see, but I wanted to share a few of the Castles and monuments we visited as perhaps it my inspire some of our work into Shroud.

    Edinburgh Castle

    This one is actually in Britain, near Manchester and Bolton. It is Turton tower, and the village of Turton is where my family was from.

    I hope you enjoyed the pictures, We have so many it's hard to pick just a few to share but I think it gives a good indication of the history and beauty of these great places. The people are some of the most hospitable, friendly and heartwarming you will find. Take the time to get off the path, visit the villages and enjoy the time.

    I will leave with one of my most favorite images, though not a castle, it was just stunning. The Queen's View in Scotland near Pitlochory.

    Fantastic pictures, Aartemis :D I hope to visit Ireland and Scotland someday. (I visited Great Britain and Wales back in 2000 o_O Cardiff Castle is amazing!)

    Awesome!!

    The castle north of Belfast near Giants Causeway is Dunluce Castle. These ruins are great to see and the wind is amazing to feel. I visited there May 2013.

    I went to Ireland for my Honeymoon a few years ago and I can't wait to go back!

    Looking at castles like this really makes me sad because it makes me realize I was born too late to explore the world, and too soon to explore outer space.
