    It's the first release of the use based system. R1 for all intents and purposes.

    So much is broken.

    Post bugs in the bug forum.

    Post feedback in the feedback forum.

    Whats with all the hysterics in so many posts this release?

    Did you watch the telethon? The first hour they introduced 30! intelligent people who are creating this game.

    Take a breath. It's their job to make this game and business thrive.

    Onward to R22 (R2 use based).

    I'm also more than a little annoyed with the sensationalist posts claiming that everyone's leaving the game, everything's broken, this that or the other.

    I think it is better to post what you don't like instead of drama posts about leaving. It doesn't solve anything, doesn't direct a game in development.

    Personally, I'm seeing a game that's been in development for over two years and has a design that is still in WIP, an engine that can't handle basic collision and LOS, netcode that makes games from the 90s look lag-free and more asset reuse than an early Final Fantasy title.

    Sure, with time and money all of these can be fixed, but with 30 heads on staff, you got a bit of a burn rate problem, 7 million won't last that long.

    It's neat to post facts, but please at least know the facts before posting them.

    It can handle both LOS and collision...if you mean collision with other players and npc's? That's a design decision.

    Unity can do these things...as it has been used in many games.

    I love it, if you left the game because you refused to listen / read the instructions and now have 60 in a skill you didn't want and cannot gain any more - waaaaaaa.

    Read / Listen / Learn / Evolve

    The steps they took are GREAT

    Wait till what you see in R23 when the pool of points players had is Gone - man the crying their will be EPIC.

    I just HOPE the developers stick to their guns and do NOT cave in to the simpletons.

    Unity can do all these things and more, but SOTA can't.

    That is not what you posted....you said the engine can't...unity is the engine.

    I said the devs made a choice on collision...that is a devs choice issue.

    My favorite game's mantra is "adapt or die".

    I learned that adaptability (sp?) is my best weapon, armor and tool.

    Too bad for who can't read the writing on the wall - or on the login screen.

    *sigh* The game engine in its entirety, not just the Unity engine. The devs' decision was likely "We want to handle collisions elegantly, put it as a priority 2 item" at which point they promptly forgot about it since they've been dealing strictly with priority 1 items for the last year.

    FWIW, I'm having a blast with this release. Glad they made the decision to go with a use based system.

    Im sorry but i kind of feel like the sky is falling or has fallen; both actually. When i walk across the land i see gouges in the very earth beneath my feet where i think shards have fallen from the sky. Also, looking into the night it seems to me if indeed the sky is slowly falling.

    Oh crap. I totally forgot about the legitimate nature in which the sky is falling in some zones of the game. LOLz

    Ever played with PVP flags active, or in a PVP zone?

    Collision between players do work in PVP: devs added them half a year ago.

    Just not everywhere/everytime.
